SEGA's Sonic Forces: Speed Battle is rolling out a new balance update on 26 September 2024, introducing key changes to both characters and items.

Why it matters: The adjustments aim to enhance gameplay by tweaking the speed, damage, and duration of various abilities.

Key changes

Extreme Gear Sonic: This character sees speed reductions for both the Slipstream Whirlwind and Pit Stop abilities, which may slow down its performance in key moments.
Super Form and Sol Transformation: Both items receive speed boosts, making characters more powerful when using these transformations.
Karate Knuckles: The Drill Spin Boost now lasts longer, giving players an extended burst of momentum.
Fortune Teller Amy: Her Fortune Boost gets both a speed and duration increase, while her Wall of Cards attack becomes more powerful with a damage boost.
Big: The Umbrella Boost receives a speed increase, improving his mobility.
Mummy Knuckles: Both speed and duration are improved on the Boo-Boost, with Jump Scare also seeing a damage boost.
Vampire Shadow: His Electro Boost gets a speed increase.
Eggman and LEGO Eggman: Both see speed increases on their Rocket Boost abilities.

Lilytrap: The damage dealt by this item has been increased.
